Feeling a little... weird. I just did something I never, ever thought I'd do, namely, write to a celebrity. I always figure anything fans write is probably just skimmed through by bored staff on the lookout for stalkers, answered with a generic 'signed' photo (if at all) and then tossed into the trash without ever reaching the person it's meant for.

Anyway. Leslie had joked, after we wrote Valentine's, that she had thought of sending it to Dick Wolf or to the current actors (well - the ones we didn't roast in the fic :). I LOL'd and thought little of it.

Anyway... I was skimming through old e-mails the other day, and came across this exchange. And I didn't really know what to do about it since I don't know if Leslie was actually serious. Then I remembered that she did send a letter to Dick Wolf once fully knowing he'd probably never get it, after he pretty much dissed her beloved Jerry Orbach in an interview. She also cc'd it to JO.

So after mulling it over and feeling ever so dumb, I finally decided what the heck. I don't know if Leslie would have sent this thing off or not, but what's the harm in doing it for her, since she obviously can't. So I did. Sent it to JO, with a cover letter talking about Leslie. I had a heck of a time trying to track down where exactly one sends to these people, since it had never occurred to me to do so.

So there you go. Feeling nerdy, but good.
