Where did #1 go? I was too intimidated by the thought of committing to Fridays to call it that last week. I didn't know if I'd be able to manage it, if Daniel would want to, etc etc. But we had our second Friday home today, he was very happy about it (although he missed Chris and Justin) and I think this just might work out. I'd like Thursdays to work out too, but I'm taking it one step at a time.

So today consisted of
  • dropping off my Drafting
  • getting groceries
  • learning about Australopithecus, Homo Erectus and Homo Neanderthalis, and a bit about the cradle of civilisation (I have a National Geographic History of the World with neato pictures)
  • working on Daniel's costume
  • lunch
  • homeschooling choir
  • introduction to music notation
  • visiting the Christmas in Middle Earth site
  • learning the names of all the crews of four of the Star Trek shows
  • grade 3 math problems
  • a pretty good time for both of us

The house is a mess and I got no reading done for my own classes. ::shrug:: Whatever.

Daniel would like us to go to the Museum of Nature next week. Sounds like a good idea to me :)

We haven't been to a museum since...um...Ottawa. Could be because the only museums for 200k are old houses that now house old stuff that old people used to use. (This is the way a house looked in 1910, but we'll rope off all the rooms, so stay in the halls, kiddos, and don't touch a thing) Oh, and there's a farm machinery museum that's supposed to be very good of it's kind.

Ahem.
