One thing that's kind of interesting is that I've gotten into teaching mode with Justin. It really helps make the day go faster and be more interesting. We're working on letters - I found out he recognizes quite a few of them, which is nice, since he's never shown the slightest interest in them and at this age Daniel had been able to name them all for years. We're also working on drawing, another area Justin has no interest in. I'm trying to make it into a little game. Yesterday we drew lines between dots. Then we started to colour in shapes. Of course, he had to go and "destroy" the drawings once he was done, by scribbling them over until they were obliterated, so we couldn't show Chris what he'd done. But at least he enjoyed it.

It's strange that I was so obsessed with art and drawing as a child, and neither one of my children has ever shown any interest. I blame it on genetics - I come from a long, proud tradition of stick-figure drawers. I must've been zapped by a good fairy or something as an infant.

We're also working on potty training and dressing. This is less of a struggle - he wants to do both, so he's pretty enthused about trying.
