Jan. 25th, 2004 09:48 amSo tired.
Talked to Chris' stepmother for about... two hours? Maybe three? Last night. Yeah - 10:15-1:15. God. We did get a lot of stuff aired out, so I hope it was worth it. But I was too mind-jumbled to be able to go to sleep right away, so I geeked, then watched TV. Didn't get to sleep until about 4, and the kids woke up bright and early at 7:30, so I'm a little woozy. Chris and I are supposed to go on a date tonight and see LOTR, but I don't know if that's going to happen. I don't want to pay great gobs of money only to fall asleep in the theatre. Especially since Chris didn't come in from call until about 4-5am either, so he's not exactly in great shape to do anything today.
Random topic change: my mom and Guy held little birthday party for the boys yesterday. An insane amount of presents. Bionicles for both, Yu-Gi-Oh cards for Daniel, Dora the Explorer everything for Justin, very nice winter clothing, and two cakes. Amazing cakes, as a matter of fact. Oh, and $205 for each child - a five dollar bill and a cheque for each of them. Daniel's said, "For Daniel's Savings", and Justin's came with a little note: "Justin, if you still want to take ballet, Luli (their nickname for her) will pay for the classes and supplies." Justin was very, very happy.
Priceless quotes from my friend Sarah, from an article she found on homeschooling:

BTW, check out Sarah's page - she's got a picture of an astronaut with a drop of water floating in front of him. Very cool.
