My Palm batteries ran low about 45 minutes before the end of Property. Can't have that. I wrote the rest of the class in longhand, and had to pray that the battery wouldn't utterly run out or I'd lose all my notes from 2.5 hours of class.
Yes, I'm back to school, and oh my, back to the joy and breathless excitement that is Contracts & Property.
Best not think about that. Will cry.

Sunday we went to get the boys their birthday presents from Chris. He was about Daniel's age when his dad gave him his first toolbox, so he wanted the boys to have their own little hammers and toolboxes. They were happy, but not totally enthused until we actually got to the Home Depot hammer section and they started looking through it. I know Justin was coveting the sledgehammers, especially after we told him they were used to knock down walls. It's a good thing he has no independent power to purchase anything, or he would've brought one home and soon we would have had no home.
Very cute moment: Chris had explained how you store the heavier things in the lower compartment, etc etc - Toolbox 101. As soon as they each got a toolbox, they both picked up their hammers and simultaneously plopped down to put them into the lower compartments. Wish I'd had my vidcam.

Spent most of the afternoon yesterday wandering through Ottawa General, doing my pre-op stuff. Insurance, bloodwork, mini-physical, hospital procedures rundown, etc. Glorious fun.

Oh, Sarah, if you're reading this:
Daniel got Sandra's card! He was so happy! He read most of it with no trouble at all except for the words that had been slightly scratched out. He also asked that we put Sandra's drawing up on our Wall of Multimedia Children's Art. So there it is :)
And I'm incredibly impressed that they're at an age where they can communicate with each other in writing without needing much adult help.
Tell Sandrea we'll write something back on Thursday, when I'm at home with Daniel, and we'll try to send it ASAP. And BTW, did she get the letter Daniel sent before the holidays?
