Choir concert yesterday went pretty well. There were no major screw-ups, and many of our songs came out really, really well, although Chris commented that the men's section needs to be bigger or louder or both. As he put it, we were "heavily ditzed."

"Ditzed?"

"Yeah, you know, the soprano section's too big."

Haha, hon. Very funny. I would bristle with resentment if I weren't the originator of 99% of the soprano-deprecating comments in our home ;)

I've been dieting for a few months now, and had been doing very well until recently. I kept getting stricter and stricter and not losing an ounce - in fact, I was gaining, much to my dismay. So today Chris asked if I'd calibrated our scale lately.

"Calibrated?" I asked. "What's that?"

Um, yeah. So. I weigh 8 pounds less right now than I did half an hour ago.

Went to my mom's house for lunch today with Justin. My aunt Mary is visiting from Germany, as she does every year or so. She visited a few years ago when Justin was very very small, and played with him at great length despite their language barrier, and he's never forgotten her. Every time he sees her, he's overjoyed. He calls her his "aunt friend."

So today we got to the house, he ran up to her, jumped into her arms and just stayed there. Not talking, not doing anything, just enjoying being near his aunt friend :)

I got my Indigo Girls 12:00 Curfews CDs back!! I've been looking for them forlornly for months, and found out on Sunday that apparently I had loaned them to Karen. She gave them back. And I was so excited to get them that I promptly lost them again. ::seething::
