Walked around the Sci-Tech Museum with Sarah's family until about 2:30. Awesome. It's so good to be around other parents who believe so much of the same stuff we believe, and who see parenthood more as an adventure than a tedious chore.

But. After three hours of museum and then a visit to my mother's, I'm tired. So Chris has taken the kids to run some errands while I bask in silence and solitude for a little while.

In this little while:
I will not answer the phone.
I will not smile and nod.
I will not explain my mother's medical condition.
I will not comfort anybody.
I will not get anybody a snack.
I will not do housework.
I will not take care of anybody.

I will simply be.
