Um, yeah. About freezing rain. It often looks real pretty the day after, because there's a layer of bright shiny over everything. But it's not great to drive on, walk on, and try to stand on without gravity and frictionlessness tag-teaming you to make your butt meet the bright shiny as often as possible.

Today's post-freezing rain is a thick, thick coating of very smooth ice over everything, so that the minute you step outside you feel like you're walking on glass covered with oil. And what's most, it's a grey blah day today, so it's not even pretty out there.

Ick.

Apparently the Supremes will hand down their ruling on the gay marriage reference tomorrow. That's pretty quick. Everybody's pretty sure that they'll say it's OK and the gov can go ahead and pass their bill, but it'll be interesting to see how they'll explain their answers to the four questions, and what the dissent will say. I'll try to go on QuickLaw tomorrow and post it when it goes up, in case anybody's interested.

Back from choir and too exhausted/high to go to bed yet. That was quite the workout. Modesty aside, we sounded amazing. If we can do this well at the concert, there's going to be some very happy people in the audience. And in the choir itself :)

We're finally singing "The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy" with Caribbean oomph instead of Ontarian Aryan stiff blandness. Thank god. And the "monks & angels" sound is coming along quite nicely for Brother Heinrich's Christmas. The Messiah rocks. We should do OK.

::crossing fingers:: Please, please let us do OK.

So, trying to bring myself down so I can go to bed, I decided to read through some of the gay marriage stuff before the Supreme Court. And because I have no need of this thing called a "life," I've gone through and picked out, for those of you who also scorn non-geek related pastimes, the most frequently mentioned sections of the Charter referred to in the arguments.

Sections 1, 2, 15, 28, 33 )

Nighty night, everyone!
