simply being
Jan. 8th, 2005 10:42 amSitting here, tidying up my CRT notes, listening to my classical music CD. Chris' dad and future stepmother gave me a set of CDs called 100 Best Classics, neatly collected into one little package and divvied up into "Uplifting" (eg Ode To Joy), "Relaxing" (eg Pachelbel Canon), "Vocal" (eg Schubert's Ave Maria), "Golden" (eg Waltz of the Flowers), "Favourite" (eg Beethoven's Symphony No. 7), and "Spiritual" (eg Hallelujah Chorus).
Nice to just sit for a little while, chilling out and taking a breather from the hectic pace of life this last week. Especially since we've got stuff to do today - buying skates for the boys, cleaning, having Guy over for dinner, readings, etc etc.
One nice thing: Chris has been going through total hell at work, but there is one tiny sliver of a silver lining. He was supposed to be on call today, but was let off without even having to ask. We figure it's the boss feeling guilty for majorly screwing him over. ::shrug:: It doesn't come close to making up for what she's done, but whatever. We'll take it.
Off to wake up Chris now :)
