"... and this is a selling point to you?"
- Frasier Crane, Cheers

Today's parenting theme is: Exhaustion. Justin woke up hyper, like yesterday, and at 8:48 has already had one minor freak-out and two time-outs. He's got that look about him - the one that says he's got too much going on inside to contain it all in one little 50lb body. Can't say Good morning; has to shout it. Can't walk up the stairs; has to stomp on every single step. Can't just take his breakfast bowl from me; he has to snatch it. Can't wipe the table; has to pummel it with the dishcloth.

So. My plan today was to see if [livejournal.com profile] ninja_kat was up to having visitors and coming by to say hi. Now I'm not so sure. That's still my goal, but I think it'll have to be after walking around with them until they're worn out. Or, if we never reach that happy state, after Chris comes home. We'll see.

Project Exhaustion working fairly well so far. Left the house for a few hours, went to the pool, walked around, did some Spanish, and now the kids are playing on the internet for their free half-hour Do What Thou Wilt Shall Be The Whole Of The Law time (after which the computer gets turned into educational games-only territory).

I'm also pretty tired. 'Sokay, though. Tired is better than pissed off, which is how I felt yesterday around this time, during the cooking day. Which actually ended up relatively OK - we made a cake, banana bread, and stuffed peppers, and had a lovely dinner with Guy. It was just the process of getting there that was seriously crummy.

And once again, I have little to say, though I've done much. Hm.

Later Edit: Welcome back to lj-land, [livejournal.com profile] bear! We missed you!
