end of my rope
Jul. 28th, 2005 03:17 pmDays like this remind me why I don't do more planned activities with my children.
They wanted to do cooking camp today, so we picked out some recipes, bought the ingredients, set everything out, started to cook... and things quickly started to spiral out of crontrol. Justin's whining and Daniel's spaciness and their awkwardness and Justin's hyperness and Daniel's complete inability to take notice of what's going on around him have resulted, so far, in more spills, wrong turns, accidents, repetition and frustration than I can recall in a long, long time. I'm ready to pack it in, and we haven't even got halfway through the first recipe we were going to make.
OK. Deep, deep breath. One more chance before I toss the whole mess into the garbage and just send them to their room for the day.
