Mine are taking a bubble bath.
We did some tidying, then we all sorted coins, rolled them up, and Daniel figured out that
7 stacks of $10 worth of quarters = 70
7 stacks of $5 worth of dimes = 35
11 stacks of $2 worth of nickels = 22
27 stacks of $.50 worth of pennies = 13.5
which comes out to $140.50, which, split between himself and Justin, gives them $70.25 each to start their bank accounts with. Much of this was done in his head, in 5 minutes, with no mistakes.
Yeah, I think we can skip most of grade three math.
After their bath we're going to get dinner started in the slow cooker, go to the bank to get them accounts, then the library to pick up books and sign up for book club. Plus do all the rest of the stuff we're supposed to do today.
