Tralala and Justin too
May. 26th, 2007 11:59 pmFinal concert of the year. Meh, not really my type of music, mostly. But our guest choir (Cantiamo Girls Choir of Ottawa) was unbefreakinglievable, and we got some pretty good moments in there. Can't wait to hear the recording, though I'm sure, as per usual, my favourite songs will be marred by random baby wailing and wrapper crumpling and coughing and hacking and even a cell phone going off in the audience.
Weirdest moment: after the men finished their song "Chickens in the Garden" one of the basses kept making little clucking noises while the women were getting back on stage. Finally let out a soft "b'CAW!" once we were all in place, which made a bunch of us actually giggle out loud, which puzzled the audience because of course, they couldn't hear the clucking.
This was the same bass who had threatened to make little hourglass motions when the men sang "She was so fine, so buxom." He also threatened to make a little whooping noise at the same time.
He did neither.
Most sublime moment: the last song, which we did with the guest choir. Really, really hope that one comes out in the recording.

Me: Daniel. Hey. Earth to Daniel.
Daniel: ::long pause:: Yes?
Me: Daniel, are you doing any school work? Or are you just sitting off staring into space?
Justin: Well, if he's staring into space, he's probably doing Astronomy.
