State of the Jimmy

• I hurt. Did two hundred jumping jacks at Taekwon Do, plus oodles of push-ups, sit-ups, and various sundry kicks. Kyah!

• *&^%$#@ English Common Law program at Ottawa U. For one of the courses I'm interested in I have to send in a cover letter, CV, and transcript by August 24. I go to ask how to get my transcript, and find that the due date has been changed... to August 1.

• I may have just written the most godawful sex scene the English language has ever seen. Like, Jean Auel's "moist inviting wells"-level bad. Deleted it.
  
  Memo to self: don't try to write sex. Just shorthand it. "Their eyes met... their lips met... and the next morning, yadda yadda yadda..." You'll be more comfortable, your characters will be more comfortable, and for sure the readers will be more comfortable too.
