• I hurt. Did two hundred jumping jacks at Taekwon Do, plus oodles of push-ups, sit-ups, and various sundry kicks. Kyah!

• *&^%$#@ English Common Law program at Ottawa U. For one of the courses I'm interested in I have to send in a cover letter, CV, and transcript by August 24. I go to ask how to get my transcript, and find that the due date has been changed... to August 1.

  It's with the DOJ, too - something I'm really, really interested in.
  
  
• I may have just written the most godawful sex scene the English language has ever seen. Like, Jean Auel's "moist inviting wells"-level bad. Deleted it.
  
  Memo to self: don't try to write sex. Just shorthand it. "Their eyes met... their lips met... and the next morning, yadda yadda yadda..." You'll be more comfortable, your characters will be more comfortable, and for sure the readers will be more comfortable too.

Hee, thanks... but I'm afraid that for this scene at least, the Power has left the building ;)

I'm trying to see if I can still get in, but it sucks to have to come at it from a "pretty pleeease" stance rather than a "here's my CV et al, you decide" stance. Especially when it's not my bloody fault :(

It's fun, trust me. Though right now my calves beg to differ; the first 100 jumping jacks class this week was OK, the second one a bit less so, and the third one has killed me :(

I have to agree with the comment above and add that your sex scenes in Bond were brilliant. You write a beautiful blend of physical description and inner dialog. I never reread Bond without slipping in the "missing" Christmas scene, either. I love that chapter. Obviously, do what feels best, but, really, you write fantastic sex scenes.

Hee... I doubt you'd say that if you saw what I wrote the other day. Not my finest hour, I assure you. Oh well. Happily, it's disappeared into the ether ;)
