Come on baby light my pepper
Aug. 7th, 2011 08:11 pmMy tongue is on fire. Justin grew peppers this year, and he offered me a piece. I took less than the tip of my finger - like, a tiny, tiny nibble. I have eaten half a tub of yoghurt - a lot of it just holding the yoghurt on my tongue for a long time - and, five minutes later, my tongue is finally no longer acutely painful. It's just sore as hell. And my nose is runny.
The peppers are not just organic; they have never had more than water on them. No bug has come within fifty feet of them, so all the egg shells and soap and tea and other bug-repellent things Chris and Justin usually end up using have been totally unnecessary.
I think maybe next year we'll have the pepper plants surround the rest of the garden.
