Gosh, I'm so glad the science on this is still up in the air and all this global "warming" stuff is still up for debate. Otherwise I might get upset at the way so many of the wild-eyed environmental predictions made in the last twenty years have been proven wrong... in that they weren't alarmist enough :/
As it is, I know we're probably fine and anything truly disastrous will only affect the third world poor - who probably deserve it anyway because hello, if they're too lazy to try to mitigate droughts and floods it's certainly not our problem, duh!
I'll just be over here, idling my gas guzzler in front of the corner store that I could've walked to, and raise a glass to the Alberta tar sands, and vote for "more research" before we do anything rash like, you know, take responsibility for any of this.
This would make me a lot angrier if I wasn't so sad and ashamed :(
