better day

ciroccojFeeling somewhat better today than I did yesterday. Probably because Chris was up and about, went to work, the boys and I actually cleaned the pile of disgusting filth that was our lovely home, and things just went better all the way around.
Also finally sent off all X-mas cards except two - which I just don't have addresses for. Yes, I know the date, and don't end a sentence with a preposition.
Speaking of ending sentences with prepositions, I think this year and last year have been two of the most amazing years ever in terms of X-mas presents. I think if anybody were to ask me "What would you like for Christmas" right now, I would have absolutely nothing to say. There is (as far as I can tell) no material thing that I want that I do not have. Games, books, music, toys that I wanted - I got 'em all, including Eats, Shoots and Leaves, which I'd been wondering about ever since about a half dozen people I know raved about it (mostly positive raves and one negative).
This may be a benefit of not watching much TV. I hardly ever see ads, so I don't really want much. Stuff, that is. I actually do want a lot of stuff I can't have, but it doesn't come gift-wrapped. World peace. A cleaner environment. Help for the survivors of the Asian tsunamis.
