A thought just entered my mind. If there is such a place as Heaven, I hope that he's up there mingling with Leslie Rampey right now. I didn't know her, but she would be completely over the moon.

I've written the woman in charge of publicity for Law & Order and Law & Order Trial by Jury to ask if she knows how Elaine Orbach would like memorials to Jerry handled. I suspect she'll want people to send contributions to the Bide A Wee Foundation or some other Humane Society, unless she wants contributions to the American Cancer Society. When I find out I'll post here.

As someone else, (I think it was heidi8) said, with everything in South East Asia at the moment (I've just found out that a Sri Lankan friend of mine left just before Christmas and came back out here, so big sigh of relief there), it seems odd to be so sad for the death of one person, and yet...

I didn't know until I watched tonight's L&O rerun... they dedicated it to Jerry. It's a terrible loss, I feel, not only to the entertainment world but to humanity.

And if there is an afterlife, I hope I end up wherever he's gone.
