Recs!

This morning I have three recs. Two fics, one recipe:

1. From the LOTR fandom, here's Aragorn and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, by Sarah.
   
   
2. From sugarkane_59's rec: The Book Of Fanfic.
   
   
3. And from Justin's Company's Coming: Kids Cooking, a recipe for tomato soup cake. Yes,
   Cake
   Ingredients
   
   • 6 Tbsp butter
     
   • 10 oz tomato soup
     
   • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
     
   • 1 cup sugar
     
   • 1 egg
     
   • 1 tsp baking soda
     
   • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
     
   • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
     
   • 1/4 tsp table salt
   
   Directions
   
   1. Preheat oven to 350F.
      
   2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, using a blender - although we did it with a fork and it turned out just fine.
      
   3. Put batter in greased cake pan and bake on the middle rack for 30 minutes or until a fork comes out clean.
      
   4. Take out and let rest.
   
   
   Icing
   Ingredients
   
   • 4 oz cream cheese
     
   • 2 Tbs butter
     
   • 1 1/2 cup icing sugar
     
   • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
   
   Directions
   
   1. Soften butter & cream cheese to room temperature.
      
   2. Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
      
   3. Spread on to cake

Um, let's see:
1) thanks for the linky-love

2) OMG that was funny! As a Mennonite I'm a particular sucker for anything in Biblical style.

3) I've made a Tomato Soup cake out of my old Menno cookbook from the 60s, and unless this one is significantly better, don't try this at home. To quote Guy from Galaxy Quest: "Oh, that's not right!"
