Yet another (two) surveys! Unfortunately lj won't let me show anything below a cut-text, so I can only do one:

Fandom: The X-Files

What drew you to this fandom? Dunno... the coolness of scientific explanations for supernatural events, back when they were still doing that.

Are you involved in the fanfic world for this fandom? I've read acres and acres of X-Files fanfic. Started to write some, but never posted them and I wouldn't even know where to find them any more.

Are you involved in any (other) web community for this fandom? Nope.

What are your three favorite episodes? Ouch. That's a tough one. Jose Chung's From Outer Space... Bad Blood... three-way tie between Beyond the Sea, One Breath, and Pusher.

What was your favorite story arc? (spanning at least three episodes, not necessarily in a row) Uh... the whole Mulder-with-the-Navajos thing. I think.

Favorite character to love: Mulder or Skinner.

Favorite character to hate: Spender.

Character who, throughout the series managed to surprise you the most (in quantity): Oy. Don't know. Maybe Skinner. Or Krychek, cause you just never ever knew which side he was on.

Favorite non-actor person on the set. (or involved with the show): Don't know.

Least-favorite non-actor person on the set: Whoever wrote Te Amo, Maria, Te Amo Chupacabras.

Strangest name you remember appearing on the screen after the opening credits. I don't.

Best piece of dialogue:
"What's this?"
"This is where you pucker up and kiss my ass!"
Runners up:
"Mulder, that was Officer Manners. He says they just found your bleepin' UFO."
Most of Bad Blood would qualify as favourite too, as would "ParaMASTurbatory?"
Oh, and "I want Anson to talk."
"No you don't."
"Yeah, I do. That's my wish. I want Anson to talk."
"OK..."
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Worst scene you haven't repressed yet.
Teso Dos Bichos toilet scene. And The Field Where I Gnawed My Own Leg Off.

Best. Moment. Ever.
Can't. Absolutely can't. There are so many touching or heart-stopping moments that picking one out is impossible.
Although I know one fave is in Folie A Deux, where Mulder is in four-point restraints. "Five years, Scully... you must have seen this coming."

Shippiest. Moment. Ever. The BeeKiss in the movie. Runner-up: "You're my one in five billion, Scully."

Of all your fandoms, why pick this one for the meme? You never forget your first, says [livejournal.com profile] snarkhunter, and she's right.

Fandom: Law & Order

What drew you to this fandom? The Order part with the intricate ethical and legal arguments. Then I found out it was preceded by a cop show.

Are you involved in the fanfic world for this fandom? 17 or 18 stories so far... uh, yeah.

Are you involved in any (other) web community for this fandom? And how.

What are your three favorite episodes? Nope, not three. Aftershock, Confession, Savages, Under the Influence, Double Down with a whooole bunch of runner-ups.

What was your favorite story arc? (spanning at least three episodes, not necessarily in a row)
LA Trilogy, only because it's the only three-story arc there is. It's good, but probably wouldn't qualify for anything for me if it wasn't the only arc out there.

Favorite character to love: Rey and Lennie. Mike and Jack close behind.

Favorite character to hate: Gee, which blonde would that be?

Character who, throughout the series managed to surprise you the most (in quantity): Mike. He's a mass of endearing contradictions – eg. a womanizer who's ardently pro-choice although a girlfriend had an abortion he didn't agree with, who's done his best to avoid fatherhood all his life but is gentle and protective with kids... etc.

Favorite non-actor person on the set (or involved with the show): Whoever has been responsible for actually getting one or two liiiittle tiny personal references slipped in every so often this season.

Least-favorite non-actor person on the set: Dick Wolf. Sorry, man, your product is awesome, but I wish you'd look at it less as a product and more as a labour of love.

Strangest name you remember appearing on the screen after the opening credits. I don't.

Best piece of dialogue:
1) Just about any Lennie lines.
2) Rey: Myself I couldn't deal with the lifestyle, but I can appreciate what it must be like to be gay, having to hide all the time...
Lennie: Yeah, probably from people who can't deal with the lifestyle.
3) Jack: At least you got to dodge the question by calling me an idiot.
Rey: Yeah, that helped.

Worst scene you haven't repressed yet. The Nipple Elevator Scene from The Wheel this year. ::shudder::

Best. Moment. Ever. The penalty verdict scene at the end of Savages, with everybody's reactions and the polling of the jury. The last "I do" as the screen fades to black gives me chills.

Shippiest. Moment. Ever.
Jack: Men have a way of deluding themselves.
Claire: I hope we're not talking from personal experience.
Jack: Not recent. I hope.

Of all your fandoms, why pick this one for the meme? Because it's my current fave and has been for... uh... a couple of years now, showing little sign of abating.

John Shiban wrote "Tesos Dos Bichos" and the Chubacabra episode, which I swear down here was called "El Mundo Gira," but I could be wrong. Used to be the most hated man involved with the show. ;)

Oh, I know it was called El Mundo Gira - it's just that Kipler, who did her summary of shippy moments in each and every ep, summarized El Mundo Gira with that one phrase. It was hilarious. I've never been able to think of it with any other title.

John Shiban. Right. I'd repressed his name. Didn't he redeem himself with a better ep years later?
