We last went before kids. The server brought round our 'medieval meal', complete with potatoes. Rainer (the medievalist) gave the server a bit of a hard time and explained the whole Columbus-potato connection. The server's eyes lit up with a fiendish glee, and he said, "I'll tell my manager". I had a feeling there was some kind of interpersonal tension there and we'd just armed him with a weapon in the fight...
