Jun. 1st, 2003 10:19 amI love my partner because he takes my children away :)
He's taking them to the Hershey Chocolate Factory this morning. I think they just might spontaneously combust, they're so happy. It's Sunday so most of the factory isn't working, but hey - they get to walk around, look at the machines, see the big vats of chocolate, and wander through the store buying humongo amounts of chocolate and candy.
Went to the NAC to see a children's play last night. There's few things as terminally cute as dressing them up (children's vests are sublimely ridiculous) and taking them into the the-AY-ter where they sit in rapt attention along with two hundred other kids and laugh at all the silly jokes and antics on stage. Yesterday's performance (The Ant and the Grasshopper) even had audience participation, including an audience-made soundtrack for a summer storm. I'm so definitely going to buy tickets to next year's NAC Children's Theatre series. It was worth every penny.
So now here I am, the house to myself for the next couple of hours, and I guess I should try to do some actual work ::sigh::
