Um... I'm a little creeped out. My computer is playing 'music' although it's more like futuristic sound effects than anything else... and I have no idea why. I can't find it, and I can't turn it off.

Anybody have any ideas? Is this some kind of virus?

Could be a popup with some background music. I've heard of that happening.
