Jun. 7th, 2003 03:40 pmYet another day alone with Los Ninos, as Chris is on call.
Gosh but people download a lot of South American music. Everything I've downloaded from Inti Illimani and Quilapayun has been uploaded at least three times.
As has Jerry Orbach singing on the Aladdin soundtrack ;)
Grocery shopped with Los Ninos, then had lunch. Then Daniel played Yu-gi-oh with some of the neighbourhood boys, while I sat and read Harry Potter on the front steps to make sure the bully next door didn't swindle Daniel out of all his cards. Pleasant surprise: said bully was actually really nice, and offered to help Daniel play. And did so. It's funny, every time I'm just about ready to put strangle him, he acts like a decent human being.
Incidentally, I can see why everybody's nuts over the Harry Potter books. They're a hell of a lot of fun. Hopefully when Justin is a little older, we can read them together. Right now he can't sit still for more than a page - no pictures.
Then we took a gaggle of boys (and one girl) to the soccer park. I think there were about 10 kids and 2 adults. Oddly, almost the kids except mine wanted to play soccer - mine had no interest whatsoever. Which was too bad, because I wanted to play too, but I stayed with the three non-players in the playground while the other adult stayed with the soccer players. Excellent game too, what I could see of it.
