Jun. 15th, 2003 03:58 pmOK, so I posted Chapter 2 of Promises. Phew.
In other news, Chris and I took the kids to the park this morning. Nice to be together as a little family, and to be outside - it's been so dreary and cold and wet lately, that it was a relief to be able to leave the house. It all went very well until Daniel threw up. Memo to ourselves: twirling the kids around on the tire swing, while lots of fun, should be given some sort of time limit. Daniel has inherited Chris' stomach for dizziness, but has not yet acquired Chris' ability to tell when he's about to hurl.
And oh, wasn't it lovely to walk all the way back talking about vomit, and why we vomit, and why other animals vomit, and what animals don't (eg rats and seagulls) and what animals burp and fart and oh, my, the things kids want to know.
Found out Justin can make a loud popping sound with his tongue, just like me. And now I understand why my parents were so amused by that when I was a kid - it's a hell of a loud sound to come out of such a little person.
And I'm once again pissed at my father for missing out on all of this. He'd find it hilarious, I'm sure, that this family trait has been passed down from him to me to Justin. Oh well, his loss.
