We grow our own granola
Jul. 16th, 2005 10:27 pmSo, Chris tells me last night that his ex-girlfriend, who used to live in a commune-type place with goats and "humanure"-fertilized crops, informed him that we were, if possible, even more granola than she.
We're doing something right :D :D :D

Oh,
heathers and
lonejaguar, forgot to mention, at some point last week we had the following exchange with the kids, during a discussion on citizenship:
Me: So being married to a Canadian is supposed to make it easier to become a Canadian citizen. But it can still take a long time. Like
heathers, for example. She's American and she's married to
lonejaguar, but she's got to go through a lot of legal stuff before she can become Canadian.
Justin: They're married?
Me: Yeah.
Justin: So they're gay?
Me: Yeah.
Daniel: Does that mean they're special?
Me: ::laughing:: I guess so, yeah.
Daniel: So how long does it take to become Canadian if you're not married?
Justin: And what are we having for lunch?
***
Oh and tonight's dinnertime movie fare: The Day After Tomorrow. Which we wanted to watch because, hey, environmental issues, science, politics, and lots of discussion of the above with our eager young minds, and the kids liked too because, hey, cool disasters and tornadoes and hailstorms and hurricanes and stuff blowing up.
