forever blowing bubbles
Aug. 5th, 2005 06:01 pmHave just been blowing bubbles with our three year old neighbour An for about half an hour. Have remembered why it was we wanted a third child.

While I'd never have stuck you with the Feral Screaming Twins (late of next door), there's some fairly cute little red-haired girl living there now... she looks like she'd be a lot more fun (and productive) to keep occupied for a while. I wish I had someone like you that I could dispatch to keep them Playing Relatively Quietly when need be.

Date: 2005-08-08 11:56 pm (UTC)The Very Best Babies Are Other People's Babies is my friend K's motto. Loves kids. Finds them fascinating. Borrows them whenever she can. Then gives them back and goes home to her lovely home filled with lots of lovely breakable things :) :)
We wanted a third baby, but it wasn't totally devastating to find out we couldn't have one because neither one of us really thrills at the thought of diapers and spit-up and years of sleepless nights.
But An is 3. Just at the age where they get really interesting, IMHO. If/when we adopt, we will be adopting a kid about that age. But not till after residency, once things have (hopefully) settled for us enough that another person in the house will be a welcome addition instead of a freaking disaster.
