Is anybody else having problems with their comment-replies? I keep posting replies to comments twice, or not being able to post replies at all. A few days ago I tried to answer one of
jessebee's comments about five times before giving up. Everyone else's comments on that entry worked just fine. I just couldn't answer
jessebee. And then a few days later, same with one of
animaltalker's. Frustrating.

You know, ever since I promised I would never again post fic-quotes without URLs, I pretty much stopped posting fic-quotes. In part because I wasn't reading much quotable fic, but also in part because I can never for the life of me remember to get the URLs. And today I'm breaking my promise yet again, because I'm just that much of a twit.
"Mr. Malfoy, if you're speaking to me as Headmaster of this school you'd do well to remember that and speak to me properly. 'F**k you, Severus,' is not generally considered an honorific figure of address," Snape said. Draco nodded once, remaining silent.

Pretty good day so far. Walked to the pool and back, started on The Last Light of the Sun, AKA Guy Gavriel Kay Does Viking/Celtic/Anglo-Saxon Pseudo-Britain. Enjoying it so far. I'm a history geek.

I've made myself an odd little wishlist of Charles de Lint books set in Ottawa. Used bookstores of Ottawa, here I come!
Drink Down the Moon
Jack of Kinrowan
Jack the Giant-Killer
Moonheart
Mulengro
Spiritwalk
The Road to Lisdoonvarna
The Wild Wood (Brian Froud's Faerielands)
Waifs and Strays
Yarrow

Odd little experience today. Daniel found my Harry Potter fic (Finding Elvis) which I'd printed into book form for Chris, and asked me to read it to him. We read most of the first chapter. I told him it wasn't really meant for kids, but he seemed to enjoy it anyway. Huh.

Also went through all the greetings in our Spanish book, and numbers 1-5 and a few colours. Daniel's pretty good at it. Justin... notsomuch, but he's learning.

Date: 2005-08-25 03:16 pm (UTC)Oh - did you mean you were hoping to find the rest of Finding Elvis, or other stories? Because Finding Elvis is all done and here (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2443222/1/). I don't have any other HP stories... yet. Got a few ideas, though :)
