So cool. I wrote "Who here knows what the mnemonic "Kate, Anne, Jane, Anne, two Kates again" refers to?" and people did!
"Kate, Anne, Jane, Anne, two Kates again" goes with another mnemonic, which
notpoetry remembered: "Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived!"
They refer to the six wives of Henry VIII.
Summary by
snarkhunter:
The six wives of Henry VIII: Katherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Katherine Parr. Their fates, respectively, were divorce, beheading, death in childbirth, divorce w/o consummation, beheading, and survival of the old goat.
Only the first three had children: Mary, Elizabeth, and Edward, in that order.
This history moment brought to you by the letters K and A, and the number 6.

In other news, our children are in Calgary and we are still in Ottawa. Chris is talking to them right now. According to Daniel, the flight was great and he read all four Secret Land of Droon books to himself. And what did Justin do during the flight? He ate.
Justin, describing the flight to Chris: "And then there were clouds! And then after the clouds? More clouds!!"
They were also taken on a tour of the cockpit, and told at the end of the flight that they were "awesome" :) :) :)

I miss them.
