Chris & Kids gone to Canadian Tire.
1* First grade teacher's name:
Mitzi Shitanda. Lemme tell you we had some fun with that name.
2* Last words you said:
"Have fun" as Chris left with the boys.
3* Last song you sang:
"Confrontation" from Les Miserables - which my kids call "The Bad Man Song" and request all the time.
4* Last person you hugged:
Either Justin or Daniel. Probably Justin - he falls and hurts himself quite often, and comes running with an "I need a hug!!"
5* Last thing you laughed at:
Probably Chris :)
Actually, probably something Chris said. I think it was "I'm dithering."
6* Last time you said "i love you":
About ten minutes ago, to Chris as he left with the kids.
7* Last time you cried:
Not that long ago. Probably a few days. Crummy time right now.
8* What's in your CD player:
Les Miserables soundtrack.
9* What color socks are you wearing:
Barefoot!
10* What's under your bed?:
I don't really want to know. I know there's a camping mattress, and some kids' toys, but other than that it's full of dust buffaloes that mustn't be disturbed.
11* What time did you wake up today:
7:15.
12* Current taste:
Pumpkin pie that I made with the boys yesterday. Mmmm...
13* Current hair:
Halway to my shoulders, curling outwards like that thing The Flying Nun used to wear on her head, held back by a godawfully ugly thin pine-green hairband. I need a haircut.
14* Current clothes:
Long pink sun dress that I only wear at home because it's hideous. Chris keeps singing "Pink Thing I think I love you," bringing back memories of a spectacularly gutwrenching on-purpose badSlashSongfic called Pink Thing. It's a Mulder/Skinner piece, and features the song Pink Thing. I remember very little about it other than the fact that, prior to reading Law & Underwear, it held first place for Most Vile Sexual Imagery in my mind.
15* Current annoyance:
Auntie Flow.
16* Current longing:
For things to be better.
17* Current desktop picture:
Whatever the hell the "Science" theme for Microsoft picture is. I think it's supposed to be some sort of Mandelbrot set morphing into a moonscape or something.
18* Current worry:
Financial stuff, marriage stuff, kid stuff, depression stuff. The usual.
19* Current hate:
No current hate. Except maybe for Chris' job.
20* Story behind your LJ username:
Same as my pen name and pseudonym everywhere on the net. I had to pick a pseudonym for the Queen's Soapbox (a sort of internal bulletin board) and had just finished re-reading John Varley's Titan series for about the tenth time, so picked Cirocco Jones, the name of the heroine, for my soapbox name. I've used it ever since. I'm not a terribly original person when it comes to names, I guess.
21* Current favourite article of clothing:
Shorts.
22* Favourite physical feature of the opposite/same sex:
Hm... is this PG-13? Nah, actually, probably favourite feature would be eyes.
My track record is that my favourite feature is Nordic-ness. Of the seven SO's I've had, four were blue-eyed blonds, and another two had blue eyes but darkish hair. My guess is, my subconscious is telling me I'm enough of a Southern-European/South American Indian mutt, and yearns to mix my genes with inbred British Isles/Scandinavian types.
23* Last CD that you bought:
Moulin Rouge soundtrack.
24* Favourite place to be:
The study.
25* Least favourite place:
The car.
26* Time you wake up in the morning:
Somewhere between 6:30-7:30 most days, 8pm when I get to sleep in on a Sunday, which happens about once every 2-3 weeks.
27* If you could play an instrument, what would it be:
I do play piano. I'd love to play the guitar.
28* Favourite colour:
Blue or green.
29* Do you believe in an afterlife?
Sometimes.
31* Current favourite word/saying:
Gently, Justin.
No, that's just what makes up about 50% of my speech. Favourite word? Dunno.
32* Favourite book:
Don't have one. Possibly Pillars of the Earth. Or Tigana.
33* Favourite season:
Spring.
34* Favourite scent:
Fresh baking bread.
35* Favourite day:
Saturday.
36* Where do you want to go:
Backpacking through Europe with Chris. Possibly Antartica during summer.
37* What is your career going to be like:
I have no idea. Don't know what kind of law I'd like to practice.
38* How many kids do you want to have:
We wanted three, but with this damn fibroid making my life miserable and with the realization that having nobody in diapers is a very, very nice thing... I think we're going to stay with just two.
39* What kind of car do you have:
1996 Pontiac Sunfire.
40* What color is it?:
Green.
41* A random lyric:
To hand-crafted beers made in local breweries
To yoga, to yogurt, to rice and beans and cheese
To leather, to dildos, to curry vindaloo
To huevos rancheros and Maya Angelou
42* Identify some things surrounding your computer:
Empty teacup and pie plate, lots of papers, stapler, staples, empty cider bottle, knife, fork, empty flower pot, Jackie Chan trading card... god, we're slobs.

Date: 2003-07-26 03:16 pm (UTC)BTW, Chris nearly threw me out of bed yesterday because of you two. Don't ask me how, but I ended up quoting the phrases "Old Man Smell" and "Ravaged Lennie's mouth with his tongue." He just about hurled.
Bravo! It takes a great deal to gross out a doctor :)
