ciroccojLast game of the regular season before playoffs starts. Lost. Bugger.
Then again, we've only lost two games this season (tied a whole bunch of others), so it wasn't so bad.
I have a theory about why we lost today, too. Yes, the other team was very good and we weren't in top-notch form. But I believe that their ultimate weapon was the odour emanating from their defense. I'm quite serious. One of our forwards subbed off with me and commented on it, saying she'd been feeling kind of self-conscious because she hadn't washed her shirt this week until she caught a whiff off the defense and almost passed out. I thought she was exaggerating until I caught a whiff of them. At least two of them had an aroma that could stun a hog at fifty paces. And I've taught in prisons, I know bad BO. This rivalled Kingston Pen on a hot summer's day.
Also went to marriage counseling today. ::shrug:: So-so. Spent most of the time describing my dad and wondering, as I did so, how the hell Chris and I have managed to stay married at all, considering the marital role models we grew up with.
