It's Cirocco Jones, but it's not me
Oct. 13th, 2005 11:14 pmThis is SO COOL!!
I got an e-mail from someone who noticed my online name and thought I might be interested in the following website:
Fairest of the Fair: Gaea, the Mad Titan
And I'm squeeing like an AOL-teenybopper here, bcuz its so way cool!!11!!
It's dedicated to John Varley's Titan series (Titan, Wizard, Demon), which feature the character named Cirocco Jones. They're the books I happened to be reading ::counting back:: 15 years ago when I first found myself in need of an online name. I still go back and re-read them every few years, and every time, I tell myself I'm going to make myself a map of Gaea, because it's just that neat a world.
Picture a wheel. A really big, hollow wheel. A wheel so big, it can hold several ecosystems and millions of creatures inside it. That's Gaea.
Can't picture it? Go to the site. There's even little panoramic views of scenes in the books. Really nifty :)

I thought I would share because when I was reading your discription, I was all "OMG that's Ringworld" and even more so when I saw the images at the site.
