  • I can get my car serviced (topping off coolant fluid & changing the belt) at Speedy Muffler in less than 15 minutes if the coolant gage(sp?) is blinking and the car smells like I've left something on the stove too long. And slide into my Labour Law class 10 minutes late, $99 poorer, and with a chocolate croissant to celebrate not having blown up on the Queensway.

  • [livejournal.com profile] ninja_kat Jr., at 2 weeks, is too damn cute for words. And he's cuddly and warm and smells like baby (in the nice sleepy-milky-fluffy sense, not the pooh-and-spitup sense).

  • I do not miss my kids' baby stage at all.

  • Background Fact About Me: when it comes to fictional characters, I have a huge soft spot for jerks. The more abrasive, sarcastic, irritating, arrogant, etc, the more my fic-heart wants to take them home and feed them soup. Fave Law & Order? Rey Curtis and Abbie Carmichael. Fave MASH? Charles Emerson Winchester III. Fave Harry Potter? Draco Malfoy. Fave Queer As Folk? Brian Kinney. Name the fandom, I ::heart:: most the one person there whom I would most cheerfully kill if I met them in RL.

  • Both home computers are getting steadily more & more buggered. I wonder if Speedy Muffler has a computers department.

  • I swear one of my classmates gets weirder every time I see her.

  • [livejournal.com profile] bear rocks my world.

  • The phrase "This article is very good as an upper-year paper", when written by an assessor of an article for a Law Review, redefines the phrase "damning with faint praise".

  • All I Ever Needed To Know, I Learned From Dr. Seuss. From environmentalism to race relations to sane government to commitment to the True Spirit Of Christmas, he's got 'em all.

  • Guess who just read The Lorax as a bedtime story for the forty millionth time :)

  • Have finished Daniel's Halloween costume; must finish Justin's soon. And decorate the house.

And, Overheard In Our Home Today
Me: Have I told you about X at the Law Review? He's - well, let's put it this way. If he was in a fic, I'd adore him. That should tell you something about him.
Chris: He's gay?

Oh for sure! And I don't even normally like southern accents on guys, or stubble. Eg the Doctor dude? Does very little for me.

What kind of computers are you using (operating system)?
Regular PC, Windows XP. And our old one has Windows 98, so they have little turf tiffs now and then when they're networked together.

(For what it's worth, I'm totally with you wrt favorite fictional characters being the ones I would want to summarily execute in RL.)
