Got a new piece of music last night, and darned if we're not improving markedly as a choir because within a few repetitions we were all pretty much singing it OK. Not perfectly, but it was clearly a song as opposed to a bunch of people wandering around some chords aimlessly. We even gave it a bit of the requisite gospelly-type feel to it. Notsomuch with the (mostly middle-aged) Ontarian Aryan stiffness, moresomuch with the oomph and spirit.
