OK, sorry, but this actually made me LOL, from MSNBC host Tucker Carlson:

Yeah, I know, but... he's just so outrageous it's funny, you know? It's hard to take him seriously. I get a lot more nervous at folks who say the same kind thing in a more 'reasonable' manner.

Like the presidential candidate a few years ago who suggested that the Maritimes should be annexed by the US - for real - because "they'd probably be pretty grateful for it" considering how much stronger the US was economically and politically, and how advantageous it would be for the Maritimes to be part of that.

Or the other presidential candidate (or maybe it was the same guy... Paul Tsongas, I think) who said that part of why he opposed socialized medicine was it stifled medical research that saved lives. He himself, for example, had recently survived a bout of cancer that would've killed him, had he been in Canada.

Very convincing argument, except that what he apparently didn't know was that the treatment that saved him was also available (free of charge) to cancer patients in Canada. And, more importantly, had actually been developed at the University of Toronto medical school.

So the guys who call our country "retarded" or say we're "too big for our britches"... sure, yeah, whatever ;)

And today, Chris Matthews says if Iraq comes off, Bush should be on Mt. Rushmore. If W or Ronald Reagan gets on Rushmore, that's it, I'm coming up to your neck of the woods and I'll learn how to deal with snow...

I don't think they need to resort to the military in order to take whatever they want. "Give us all your water for free or we stop buying your lumber" would probably be quite enough, you know?
