ciroccoj | 10,000 rules

So yesterday as Chris was getting ready to go back to work, there was a huge blowup between the boys, and Chris went downstairs to handle the Daniel side of it. At one point, Daniel complained bitterly that he had about 10,000 rules he has to follow and Justin only had 1.

Chris: Well, that's not true. In fact, if you can settle yourself down, you'll be able to figure out that you don't have 10,000 rules to follow.
Daniel: Yes I do!!
Chris: No, you don't.
Daniel: Yes I DO!!
(cut extensive back and forth here)
Chris: Why don't you try to come up with a list of the rules you have to follow?
Daniel: NO!
Chris: I can guarantee you it's less than 10,000.
Daniel: No it's not!
Chris: Make up a list, then.
Daniel: I don't want to.
Chris: You can't lose, on this one. Because either you'll discover that it's not 10,000, or you'll discover that it is, and I'm wrong, and I'll go through and get rid of some of them because 10,000 is too many.
Daniel: (after a pause) I don't want to.
Chris: Why not?
Daniel: (grumpily) Because... if I do, I'll probably realize you're a good daddy and you're a psychiatrist and... you're probably right.
Chris: I think you're already there.
Daniel: Yeah.
Chris: (small pause) You wanna go back upstairs?
Daniel: Yeah, I guess...
