(Talking about attitudes towards death)
Me: I just can't imagine that. Living your whole life being afraid of death. Because, I mean, it's going to happen. If you set your life up as a struggle against death, you are going to lose. It's depressing.
Chris: It's like always being scared of "What if?"
Me: Yeah, except there's no doubt about it - it will happen.
Chris: Yeah, it's being scared of "What."
Me: It would be so weird to be ashamed of sex. To be ashamed of your body, trying to hide it all the time. I'm so glad I don't feel like that.
Chris: But then how come you always want the lights off during sex?
Me: That's just because the one bright light bothers my eyes. If we're having sex in the day time I don't care what you see.
Chris: Because I like being able to see you.
Me: ::snickering:: I could wear a blindfold.
Chris: Or I could wear night-vision goggles.

I want to die in my old age, having had a chance to do stuff--I don't want to die young. But immortality has always seemed hideous to me (not that it's an option. But, you know, if it were), so I'm not really afraid to die. Just afraid of not living. :D
Perhaps you should invest in "mood lighting." *snicker*
