  • called around to consignment stores re. furniture
  • dropped off oodles of stuff at Salvation Army
  • dropped off $11.25 worth of Martha Stewart Living magazines/cookbooks at used bookstore, no doubt making somebody with too much time on their hands very happy
  • dropped off $104 worth of CDs at CD Warehouse
  • kept up with Daniel's schooling and Justin's homework
  • kept up with my own readings oh who am I kidding, all I can say is I'll catch up some day, hopefully before exams
  • worked on Justin's Halloween costume

Heh, yeah, I will. Um, after the moving stuff is done. I have an urgent appointment with my bathtub and some bubbles, sometime next week.

... and my DH can come too >;)

Dude, I have heard horrors about U-haul, but that takes the cake.

Ha! You ain't seen nothin' yet!

Today's brouhaha happily resulted in me going to somebody else, which is wonderful. It would've been even more wonderful if it hadn't also involved wasting a couple of hours, being told my estimate was at least twice what I was previously quoted, being told, "What can I say, ma'am, U-Haul doesn't run a good business, what do you want me to do about it" and finally having the contract literally snatched out of my hands and being told "If you can't follow the rules, you don't need this truck!" in front of four other slightly shocked customers.

Yeah, good times :)

Meep! *hands you a hot cocoa*

Thanks in part to your influence, I am seriously considering this. Milo and I apparently put out about 18 tons of CO2 a year, according to Slate.

Oooh! ::breathing in the aroma:: OK, I'm gonna have to get one of those for real now :) :)

::bounces happily::

Yeah I don't remember how much CO2 we put out a year now, but I went on one of those online things a few years ago and it was rather appalling. We've changed a lot of stuff since then, but... meep. It was rather sobering.

OTOH, it did push us to make some changes that we wouldn't have made otherwise, that saved us a crapload of money in the long run, so hey, whatever works :)
