But I am disturbed by some of the comments. I mean, there was just one asshole at first, but then a couple others. I'm always surprised to remember just how ok some people are with announcing that they hate gay people. Fandom spoils me I guess.

Well... that part doesn't surprise me, actually; it just bores me. The epithets are always the same, the "reasons" are too - even the mispellings are repeated ad nauseam. Depressing. Ugh.
