Somebody on my flist posted the words to Pie Jesu in response to what happened at Virginia Tech today. There really isn't much more to say about it, other than what makes it truly sad is that it's no longer unthinkable. The number of victims keep going up, but the feeling of shock and disbelief is hard to find, after so many school shootings.

God. I thought it was just me. I feel sad and wretched, but I don't have that level of horror that comes with shock. I hadn't connected it with the idea that this sort of thing is becoming, God help us, commonplace.
