This is mostly random.
- We celebrated at our friend Winnie's house, 30 min out of Ottawa. ::happy sigh:: She's got a pony. And about forty chicks, some egg-laying hens and a rooster, a dog and two cats, and three little girls ages 8, 5 and 3. Beautiful place. Great time. There were about six home schooling families there, with accompanying kids ages 2-15 or so. So glad we went.
- From Some 24,000 sun worshippers gather for ancient festival: "Jeanette Montesano, a 23-year-old religion graduate from New York and as elf-described pagan, compared the importance of the trip with the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia."
- Look, Ma - No Lake!. Story about a lake in southern Chile (surface area 4-5 hectares or 10-12 acres) that just, like, disappeared recently. They think there was a tremor and Mother Earth just went ::gulp::. Must show this to boys, as we're currently wrapping up South America week.
- Speaking of which, the Spanish dubbed voice for Marvin the Paranoid Android is distinctly disappointing.
