Madeleine L'Engle has died.

Damn. Luciano Pavarotti yesterday, Lloyd Alexander not too long ago, and it's like losing bits of my childhood. I grew up reading L'Engle and Alexander, and my mom loved Pavarotti. I once bought her raffle tickets for a performance of the Three Tenors. She didn't win. Wish she had.

Rest in peace, Mr. Pavarotti and Ms. L'Engle. And thank you.

Yeah. And I don't know why but my first reaction upon reading it was a very vivid image of both you and Karen and the library at Fisher Heights. ?

I just loved her books. I remember devouring them and being so sad when I realized that there weren't any new ones left to read. I think I'll have to re-read them all now.
