::yawn:: So, pretty much exactly where the polls said we'd be. Not exactly the most gripping political race I've ever seen. I think the Liberal is winning in my riding too.

One thing that is disappointing is that we're apparently overwhelmingly voting for "first past the post" to stay as is. The whole "mixed member proportional" thing must've smacked of weirdo Europeanism or something. That, or nobody knew what the hell it meant, seeing as how it was about as well publicized as Guns'N'Roses great comeback tour.

Well, I'm satisfied that at least the NDP gained a couple seats over the last election...but I too, am surprised at how badly MMP went over.

Yeah, that part's nice. And I wish the Greens had won even one seat, but it's good to see how much they gained in the popular vote. I think last election they had 3.4% or something.

Yeah, no kidding. I mean, does it actually make sense that with less than half the votes, the Liberals can now decide to do anything they want for the next five years, just because they have way more than half the seats? Granted, I'd rather that than the Conservatives in the same position, but still. How is this good government?
