::yawn:: So, pretty much exactly where the polls said we'd be. Not exactly the most gripping political race I've ever seen. I think the Liberal is winning in my riding too.
One thing that is disappointing is that we're apparently overwhelmingly voting for "first past the post" to stay as is. The whole "mixed member proportional" thing must've smacked of weirdo Europeanism or something. That, or nobody knew what the hell it meant, seeing as how it was about as well publicized as Guns'N'Roses great comeback tour.

but I too, am surprised at how badly MMP went over.
Yeah, no kidding. I mean, does it actually make sense that with less than half the votes, the Liberals can now decide to do anything they want for the next five years, just because they have way more than half the seats? Granted, I'd rather that than the Conservatives in the same position, but still. How is this good government?
