What a nice way to start off the day.
Daniel's teacher asked me to come in and discuss his behaviour this morning. My last meeting with her, though informative and good, left me feeling more than a little down. She was quite distressed at how immature and disruptive he was, and how difficult it was for him to behave. She even suggested that it might be a good idea to take him out of French Immersion, since he could barely handle being in class at all, let alone being in class while trying to learn a second language.
So I was not exactly looking forward to today's meeting.
Well. She had called me in to let me know that he's improved dramatically over the last little while, that he's one of her strongest students academically, that he's very, very polite and eager to please, that he responds very well to positive reinforcement, and that she's very, very impressed with how hard he's worked to get his own behaviour under control.
::Cirocco melting into a puddle of relief, and pride at Daniel::
