Sense of gloom n doom

ciroccojI am making a prediction: I will not enjoy the next 19 days of Professional Responsibility classes. Have to do it, it's part of licensing, but OMG if it's all like today this will be an exceedingly long and pointless month.
Seriously, at this stage in the game, do we need to hear that the practice of law is a Noble Profession? And that as Noble Professionals, we have a duty to our clients, to our fellow law practitioners, to the Law, and to society as a whole? And that ours is a solemn duty that we must take seriously?
See, if we don't know this by now, I venture to speculate that it's highly unlikely that 19 days will teach it to us. But that's just my cynical outlook.
