- Got our blue stripes. Our entire family is halfway to black belt by belt level, one third of the way by time required. And we realized the other day that we've been going to TKD for a full year. Usually 3-4 times a week. Go! Us!
- Professional Skills and Responsibility continues to be lame. Although our profs are cool.
- Also: it's interesting, being able to tell who in our class is likely to end up on the Tribunal pages of the Ontario Law Reports. It's the ones who are trying to figure out, before they have even been called to the bar, just how much they can get away with.
"So, you know, when you say you can't ever use any of the money in the clients' trust account... what if it's not much money? I mean, if you know you're going to get paid tomorrow and you know you're good for it, are you really just supposed to, like, end up paying your utilities late just because your general account doesn't have the funds in it right now?"
"How many times can you be suspended before you're kicked out?"
"What if there's like, really a lot of money in the clients' trust account?" clearbell is here! Say hi to

Hi!
Date: 2008-06-21 02:51 am (UTC)Go you on the blue stripes :-)
And yes, you can tell the people who are going to be on the suspension list ::g:: I think it's interesting that we also share the rules on trust accounts too. And that is one thing that will get you thrown out quick - we have to state on our bar renewal each year that we've complied with the rules (of course, doesn't apply to me working for a corporation that has no client funds....)

Date: 2008-06-21 12:03 pm (UTC)O.O is boggled. Not that I didn't know that there are lawyers out there who would push the limit but that people actually have to ask this question...
that practically demonstrates that they aren't smart enough to avoid getting caught with the hand in the cookie jar because they can't differentiate between mine and yours. Or something.
Congrats on the blue stripes and on not having to bow to the boys for a bit. ;D
