So we rescheduled the birthday party for this weekend, because of a scheduling conflict between our party and Scouts Klondike Day. Even though there's a Taekwon-Do seminar, Scouts pancake breakfast, other sundry stuff, and Chris is away from today till Sunday. I'm down to flip pancakes at the church from 10Am-11AM, and I'm thinking that as overloaded as we are, things Will Work Out:
Friday: finish our school goals, go to Toys'R'Us to pick up loot bag stuff & other party sundries, swimming class, (some other thing I can't remember), clean & tidy the house til the wee hours
Saturday: sleep in a bit, do the pancake thing, pick up the cake, make cookies, go to the seminar, (some other thing), clean and tidy
Sunday: finish cleaning, organize games, hold party for 15 kids, four hours.
And then tonight I'm picking up Daniel from Scouts and the Scout leader reminds us that the Scouts must be at the church at 6:30AM on Saturday to set up.
WTFF??
I'm sure he must have told us or sent us an e-mail or something but the only thing I can find in our e-mails is "Don't forget Saturday, February 28 is Pancake Day!"
I just... I wouldn't even mind so much if it weren't for the fact that the entire months of January and February have been like this. Every single god damn weekend there are, no joke, about six or seven Things To Do, like hurdles, and it feels like more keep getting added every time I turn around. Seminar! Concert! Party! Spanish school event! Scouts event! Visit! Cubs event! Concert! Go! Go! Go!
And I just want to sleep in.
