ciroccojFound out a while ago that there was some legal/tax stuff that was supposed to have been done for my mom the year she died, and wasn't. Had to track down her old family doctor for some of it. I thought he'd retired, but found out he just closed his private practice and went to work two evenings a week at a walk-in clinic. So today I went to see him.
Me:: (to the receptionist) Hello, I need to see Dr. S.
Receptionist:: Have you been his patient before?
Me:: No, and actually I'm not here for me. I'm here for another patient of his, my mother.
Receptionist:: Do you have power of attorney for her, and is she currently a patient?
Me:: No no, she was a patient of his. She died.
Waiting room full of patients waiting to see Dr. S.:: ::meeep::
Me:: ::oops::
