A study in contrasts
Jun. 24th, 2009 10:06 pmIt's been a full day, is probably the best summary I can make of it.
- Hot and muggy and unpleasant. We don't have air conditioning because we don't need it, but days like today I wouldn't mind it so much.
- Boys worked fairly well.
- Went to do an errand I have tried to do five times now - and failed to do it, yet again.
- Played the Age of Mythology board game with the boys again tonight!
- Left the game when Justin's nerves and poor attitude finally made it too unpleasant for me to continue; that, and I had choir tonight. Will not be playing again, though. Too bad; it's a very cool game.
- Choir tonight! We're singing for this Sunday's service at the church that lets us use their building for rehearsals during the choir season. Our numbers are few, as choir season is over; eleven men, five altos, six sopranos - only two firsts.
- Found out I'm going to get as close to singing solo as I have ever been in my life, in that there's a couple of lines that will be sung by the first sopranos while the rest of the choir hums. As there are only two of us... ::gulp::
- Sang them fairly well. Crossing fingers for Sunday.
- Daniel was having a major meltdown when I came home. Haven't had the pleasure of one of these in... a blessedly long time.
- Helped talk him down.
- Still not in a good space over it, though.
- Finally got around to opening the package with my diploma in it and discovered I graduated Cum Laude.
- It's still bloody hot.
